Dragon's Eye Pendant

I created this pendant yesterday...My days off are Sunday and Monday. And I have a tendency to want to sit motionless in my lazy boy and zone at the TV! Our rainy season is here and every afternoon I wait for a storm!I love storms!!! If a good one comes, I'll share pictures with you. I have decided to make a few things and try to save money by not leaving the house! So...I made this yesterday!

WIP...

Just started this tonight, I don't know why maybe it's the book I'm reading called "The Strain". I am in a vampiric mood! As I painted this it reminded me of my youngest daughter when she left home because she turned 18! I think I'll call it "Blood on the Moon" she looks glee full doesn't she? I think if you are a vampire you should enjoy the nightlife!

Lost her tongue!!!

Took the tongue off my little dragon. I was also told by a friend of mine, "Tammy" that my dragon is a girl! So there! Now I can move forward and she also said she really likes he amber "Bling"! Hmmmm...Yes I know what bling means, but I did have to ask my daughter what BTW was! Anyway I am sanding HER now and will be priming and painting in a couple days!

More detail...

Every day I put a little more. I may have to make a few of these. This is only three days work at intermittent times, when it's slow at work. The large dragons take me about a month and a half to two months to finish!

More progress on Little Guy...

Wow hope I sell more dragons, my barber shop is sort of slow lately. It gives me more time to work on my dragons but it's a little scary. This fellow is progressing nicely!

Eye can see!!!!

Well again a slow morning at the shop so Eye did I surgery! (Hee,Hee) Now my little guy can see what's happening around him. Point of interest, the bat ring I'm wearing was given to me by one of my customers,(BTW...his wife was there when he gave it to me, he's an older gentleman on oxygen)(just clarifying) he's very supportive of my art, and he said he bought it many years ago and thought it fit my personality. A very nice thing to have happen and it does fit...so well, I can't get it off! Note to everyone...when you are young...do not pop your knuckles! The idea of the pic with my hand in was to show the smallness of the little guy. Compared to my other dragons!

The new little guy...

I'm just beginning this smaller dragon, he's about as tall as a small table lamp. I still haven't got his dimensions. He just beginning and has a long way to go!

Gothic Dream Catchers...

Good morning It's Sunday and my day off. I am working on my new little dragon. They are normally too big to bring home, but not this one, I just threw him in the car and away we went! So he's perched on my kitchen table. I have had my coffee and oatmeal and in the background on the TV...Jack La Lane is trying to get me to buy his juicer. It does sound like a good idea and I could use a few more veggies and fruits in my diet!(we'll see) Rose liked my "Poor mans stained glass" or "Gothic dream catchers. I just thought I'd stick a couple more on the blog and let "em float there for a while. I put them in my windows in my home, they reflect the sun so beautifully! We have an abundance of sun here in Arizona. In fact this morning I got up at sun rise and had to shovel sun light away from my front door to get to my newspaper! It not easy living here!

The new Guy...

Well I started this little guy today, I don't have a clear picture in my mind yet as to what he will look like but I'm thinking rather ornate, he's small and it won't take a lot of time before I see a change. Also his little "forked" tongue will be visible!

Slow days in the shop!

Shannon is getting into the creative mode...we needed a floor and she's painting one!

I love cloudy rainy days, just finishing up on the silver dragon and I began a small one not sure yet what it will end up looking like but I know I want to see his tongue!

Well I have a little work with envirotex to do on the eyes then this bad boy is finished.

The art of Blogging!

I'd like to thank anyone and everyone who stops by and leaves the wonderful comments or just stops by! I read other blogs and they are so wonderful and well written, beautiful to look at and informative too! And mine really does suck peanut butter.
Here are a handful of excuses, (bear with me...please) first of all, I have never been sure what exactly I should do with my blog or what form it should take. So I was just tickled when I figured out how to post pictures. I am not much of a whiz when it comes computers and if it wasn't for a couple of my wonderful friends on here, who have taken the time to explain things to me (you know who you are, Michelle) I'd still be wandering in the dark! Thank you again so much! I also have a beautiful daughter who shares a home with me (I have another beautiful daughter who doesn't live with me...just in case she reads this!) and she worries about computers and if I might get myself in trouble due to my naivete and lack of knowledge. So I make her nervous playing with it! The next problem I have is...my computer gets the hiccups!
I am not the primo typist and I have to look at the key board to type. Then I periodically look up to see what I have done! Well, my computer skips backwards...I never know when it will happen and I look up and the sentence I have just written is buried somewhere deep in the text of my paragraph! "IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!" And it's not much fun. So most of what I write is explaining my art work that I create, and not much more.
I've had a few quiet moments of late to read some wonderful blogs and you have inspired me to create a better blog. I am going to work towards getting a new computer and begin to write more. You have all influenced me greatly, I don't often say it or leave it on your blogs, but thank you for your friendships, kind words and the many smiles you have given me, and also your wonderful thoughts and photos of everything from Art to Zebras!

Once in a Blue Moon Pendant

Another addition...I really feel I should be doing more than enjoying the blog neighborhood,(I like to see what everyone is up to) but it's one of those days, as crazy as I think I'll get is to make a list and go grocery shopping! I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING! But there is a limp piece of celery and a half of a cherry tomato and some butter in the "ice box", as my mother would say...so it's time!

Crying Eye Pendant

A new addition to my Etsy store. I'm trying not to leave home today because I'd like to save some money! And it seems every time I leave the house I buy things I "need" of course! Today is my day off. Well it's working...so far, I haven't left home but, I have bought a Phantom t-shirt and 12 packets of clay...on line!!!! HELP!!!!

Well it was a slow day today so I painted on the dragon and still have more painting left for tomorrow! Also this is what my daughter looks like on slow days in the shop!
