Hi Misty! Love your polymer creations!! Of course, I love everything you do! :-D I am liking paper clay, except for the cracking and I couldn't get it as thin as I wanted and was afraid to run it thru the pasta machine. I definitely will continue to work with it now, even though polymer is my first love! Apoxie sculpt is a two part mixture that I use basically to strengthen armatures. I've used it for other things too..like bonding things together and outside sculpts that need to be able to take the weather. Some artists are so talented at working with it, it truly amazes me. You have a window of time to work with it, that I can't seem to master. It can be sanded and painted. Check out Rebecca Schumacher's work at http://www.rebas-art.com/ Her work is awesome. Hope this helps! XO Cindy
Cindy, Thank You for all the info and for Reba's sight. I went and took a peak...wow! Beautiful, I want to play with that stuff. I wish I had the time back from my former life, I wasted a lot of precious moments doing things that garnered nothing...but as they say it shapes our character. It turned me into the character I am today! Scary! Thank you so much! Misty
OH LOL! You are a character. I'm missing some passed life time myself, so know what you mean. Hope you try the Apoxie sculpt. The thing I like most about it is it smells like popcorn to me! LOL...that says something about me. It's neat stuff! Isn't Reba's stuff fabulous? She seems super sweet too!
Many of the sculptures and art pieces on this blog have been sold...but many are still available for purchase! Please leave me a comment or e-mail at mystapring@Yahoo.com if interested in purchaseing.

I have three blogs, one is for my dragons that I make from air dry clay. The other is for my other art... what ever I am into at the time. And the third is for some of my poetry. A friend of mine (Ros, you know who you are) ispired me to post my writings.
I am a retired musician and a barber. I run a shop called Sweeney's in Tucson, with my youngest daughter, and my oldest daughter is a radiology tech assitant and dance teacher! I played music 5 nights a week for 20 years with my husband and step-son, and now I have time for my art! Hope you enjoy it!
